Recent and Current Engagements

Leadership Transition
We are working with Kingdom Worship Center and Columbia Family Worship Center, two churches in one location currently led by Bishop Ralph Dennis to support them in having a smooth transition from Bishop Dennis to his son, Pastor Greg Dennis.  The process includes assessing the congregation, leaders and community to understand how KWC and CFWC can be a more culturally competent church that meets the needs of the congregation and community.
Spritual Coaching Ministry Development
We are working with a New Psalmist Baptist Church team to develop a Spiritual Coaching Ministry.  The process includes the development of an in-house coaching modell, guidelines, developing in-house coaches, criteria and identifying the mechanisms of the ministry.
Leadership Development and Organizational Clarity
STG worked with fellow colleagues to help Creative Urbans in Amsterdam, Netherlands identify the roadblocks to having their student leaders take full ownership and responsibility for driving the organization.  STG supported the process of identifying their key strategic actions to move the organization where they needed to go to realize their vision.
Church C.H.A.N.G.E. Strategy
We are working with Grace Presbyterian of Baltimore, Maryland to develop church strategies to increase community and  congregation engagement as well as to position them for a positive growth curve.  The project entails preparing the church for the upcoming Pastoral transition.  The church has begun the process by partaking in the Church Health and Community Assessments to gain a perspective on the current state and to enable a successful future state and transition to the new Pastor.
Ministry Leadership Retreat
We developed and facilitated a one day leadership team building and planning session with the New Psalmist Baptist Church Covenant Keepers Ministry to re-align the leadership team, get clear on roles and responsibilities and clarity of actions to move the ministry to the next level.  The session resulted in clarity of ongoing team dynamics, an action plan to propel the ministry forward, clarity of roles and responsibilities and increased leadership capability.
Church Consultation and Health Assessment
We met with the senior leadership team of Garment of Praise Ministries in Capital Heights, MD to identify minor changes that would have a major impact on church visibility in the surrounding neighborhood and community.  This consultation led to conducting a Church Health Assessment that will be used to develop a short and long term strategic plan.  The church has  already begun to experience growth in membership and positive change.  They are eager to complete the overall strategic plann to continue to move forward to God’s divine purpose for their ministry.

Facilities and Church Health Assessment
We conducted a facilities and Church Health Assessment at Pleasant Grove Baptist church Baltimore, MD.   The facilities assessment led to the immediate identification of an unnecessary drain on electrical power which will result in reduced electric utility expenses.    The Church Health assessment is currently underway.  It will be used to properly allocate the stewardship campaign excess funds and develop key ministries to help further meet congregation and community needs.
Leadership Development and Succession Plan
We are supporting the New Psalmist Baptist Church of Baltimore, MD in developing a more comprehensive Leadership Development and Succession Planning Program to ensure the readiness of the church leaders for the movement into their new edifice.  The Leadership Development and Succession Program will enable the leaders to be more effective and will also help ensure a smooth transition from current leaders to the new leaders as the church prepares to support the growing congregation, the needs of the new community and the anticipated increase in support ministries.  The program includes aspects of  STG’s Church Leaders Competency Model.
Team Building and Retreat Development
We developed and facilitated a two day team building and team development retreat for a community service non-profit organization.  Working with the planning committee the process included a needs assessment, program design and personality profile workshop.  Through the workshop an understanding of group dynamics was developed.  Members of the group were able to clearly identify their leadership style and impact to the group and therefore improve their effectiveness.
Ministry Leadership Development
A year long succession planning program was developed to improve the process of replacing ministry leadership.  The program included a specific process and accountability for current leadership to develop potential ministry leaders. A feedback process was included to ensure time of occurrence coaching.  Each participant in the program is required to complete a final project which will help to develop strategic thinking, planning and project implementation skills.
Ministry Change Management
Developed a structural process for several Family Ministries to help each ministry develop the purpose, goals and objectives of their ministry team. This process was put in place to increase ministry clarity and understanding and to help improve volunteer support, parishioner membership and overall value of the ministry to the church community.
Marriage Ministry  Communications Program
Developed and conducted married and engaged couples communication enhancement program to improve the level of intimacy, understanding and overall communication within married and engaged couples.
